Getting Started
Start the Remote Control software with the Flexicart as follows.
Y Obtain the required hardware and software.
Y Set up the application computer.
Y Install the Remote Control software.
This section explains the operations necessary prior to starting.
What You Need
The following hardware and software is necessary to run the Remote
Control software.
Application computer
An IBM PC/AT compatible personal computer that complies with the
specification given below.
Y CPU clock: 300 MHz or more
Y Memory: 128 MB or more
Y Hard disk free space: 100 MB or more (after installing Windows NT)
Y Communication ports: RS-232C (19200 bits/sec)
Y Video board: S-VGA board (1024 ´ 768 pixels) (when not fitted as
standard to the application computer)
Y Others: S-VGA monitor, printer and mouse supporting Windows NT.
Software
You need the following software for the IBM PC/AT.
Windows NT: Version 4.0 or later
Setting Up Your Application Computer
Prepare your application computer before installing the Remote Control
software.
1Install the S-VGA board in the application computer.
For details of how to install the board, refer to the manual supplied with the
board.
2Install Windows NT on the hard disk.
For details of the installation procedure, refer to the manual supplied with
Windows NT.
3Install the device driver for the S-VGA board and set the S-VGA
display mode to 1024 ´ 768 (non-interlaced).
For details of the installation procedure, refer to the manuals supplied with
the board and with Windows NT.
