NOTES ON HANDLING THE OPTICAL PICK-DISC MAGAZINE GETTING OUT PROCEDURE
ON THE POWER SUPPLY IS OFF

Remove the CASE (LOWER. S) beforehand

NOTES ON LASER DIODE EMISSION CHECKLever (MZ LOCK)
The laser beam on this model is concentrated so as to be focused
on the disc reflective surface by the objective lens in the optical
pick-up block. Therefore, when checking the laser diode emis-A
sion, observe from more than 30 cm away from the objective lens.
US/Canadian model:
If the optical pick-up block is defective, please replace the whole
optical pick-up block.
Never turn the semi-fixed resistor located at the side of optical
pick-up block.

Notes on chip component replacement
Y Never reuse a disconnected chip component.

Flexible Circuit Board Repairing
Y Keep the temperature of the soldering iron around 270 uC dur-
ing repairing.
Y Do not touch the soldering iron on the same conductor of the
AEP/UK model:circuit board (within 3 times).
Y Be careful not to apply force on the conductor when soldering
or unsoldering.
