Contains mechanism diagrams, parts lists and schematics for all worldwide versions of DC-X88Z. Also includes remote schematic etc. A few non-essential pages are missing such as specifications. Includes the mechanical and electronic calibration instructions for the tape decks.

Replacement
1. Disconnect the Connector (CN935/CL-29 Board)
2. Remove the Worm Block
3. Remove the Cassette Compartment Motor
4. Remove the Motor Joint
5. Remove the Spacer and Unsolder the Harness
6. Solder the Harness
7. Install the Motor Joint
8. Install the Spacer and the Worm Block
9. Install the Cassette Compartment Motor
10. Smear Grease
11. Connect the Connector (CN935/CL-29 Board)
Adjustment after Replacement
12. Confirm the Cassette Compartment Motor Operation
(SV14 : Cassette Comp. Motor Check) (Refer to Section 7-2.)
Note
Replace the cassette compartment motor with the cassette compartment assembly is
removed from the unit.
Tools
. L-shaped wrench (0.89 mm) : 7-700-736-06
. Grease (SGL-505) :7-662-010-04
. Cleaning cloth :3-184-527-01
. Cleaning fluid :9-919-573-01
Preparation
1. Turn the power off.
2. Remove the upper lid. (Refer to Section 1-1-1.)
3. Remove the plate MD. (Refer to Section 1-1-1.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment. (Refer to Section 1-1-2.)
